The Cancer Support Rosary Group is a gentle and welcoming space for individuals living with cancer to come together in faith, fellowship, and hope. Through praying the Rosary, we will place our intentions in the loving hands of Mary, our Blessed Mother, drawing comfort and strength from the life of Jesus as we meditate on the mysteries. Inspired by the spiritual richness of the Rosary and guided reflections from trusted spiritual writers, our time together will offer moments of peace, encouragement, and shared understanding. Together, we will hold hope in our hearts and lift it up in prayer, trusting that even in uncertainty, we are sustained by God’s faithful presence. Whether you are newly diagnosed, in treatment, in remission, or supporting a loved one, this gathering seeks to provide a prayerful community where no one walks alone, and where faith can be a source of courage, healing, and light.
The group will be facilitated by Carlene Sherbourne, a parishioner of North American Martyrs Church who has been living with ovarian cancer for nearly a decade and brings both personal experience and deep faith to this ministry.
Weekly gatherings will take place on Wednesdays from 4:30–5:30 p.m. and will be offered in a hybrid format: virtually via Zoom and in person at North American Martyrs Church, located at 8 Wyoma Drive in Auburn.
A simple guide to praying the Rosary will be provided, along with Rosary beads for anyone who may need them. A simple reading for reflection and suggested discussion questions will be shared each week by email, with printed copies available for those attending in person.
The Cancer Support Rosary Group will begin on Wednesday, March 18th. Please reach out to the parish office at 508-798-0612 or [email protected] for more information about the group or to sign up to attend.
