“Celebrate Priesthood- Taste of the Diocese” is a benefit for Retired Priest’s Care will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Saint Paul Diocesan Jr./Sr. High School in their newly refurbished Gymnasium and the live Presentations will be streamed from the Burke Auditorium. For those who can join us, we will gather for the delectable tastings from area restaurants and parishes. Individual donations, advertising in the commemorative book and sponsorships have all been necessary elements to the success of this event in support of on average 50 retired priests in our diocese who have committed more than 2,000 years of service as a group to our spiritual wellbeing! There are various issues for Catholics to consider when getting vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. The Catholic Church has made it clear that, in general, getting vaccinated to both care for your own body and as an act of charity towards others by helping to stem spread of the virus is important and worthy of our support. As we now enter a phase with vaccine options and people are hearing of certain risks with some brands, it should be noted that all the vaccines are not morally the same either.
